Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before heading to the ranch.

What’s included in my stay?

Your package includes everything you need for a true Western adventure:

- Lodging (either in our bunkhouse or canvas tent camp)

- All meals, snacks, and beverages

- Daily guided activities like cattle drives, branding (seasonal), camp games, and trail rides

- Horsemanship instruction and ranch-life experiences

- Evenings by the fire with good company and starry skies

Do I need any prior ranch or riding experience?

Not at all. Whether you're a seasoned rider or brand new to boots and saddles, our team will guide you every step of the way. We tailor the experience to your comfort level and skill.

What should I pack?

We’ll send you a full packing list after booking, but here’s a quick preview:

- Jeans or durable pants

- Closed-toe boots (cowboy boots or hiking boots work great)

- Warm layers and light layers—mountain weather changes fast

- Hat with a brim (cowboy hat if you’ve got one!)

- Flashlight or headlamp

- Reusable water bottle

- A great attitude

Is there Wi-Fi or cell service at the ranch?

Service is limited—and we like it that way. We believe the best connections happen face-to-face, around the fire, or on horseback. You’ll thank us later.

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely! Timber Creek is family-friendly and great for kids ages 3 and up. Younger children may be welcome depending on the week and your family’s needs—reach out to us to discuss.

Do you accommodate dietary needs or food allergies?

Yes. Just let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate. We serve hearty, ranch-style meals, but we’re happy to adjust based on your preferences or restrictions.

What is your booking and cancellation policy?

We require a $1,500 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot. The remainder is due 30 days prior to your stay. Please contact us as early as possible if plans change—we’ll do what we can to work with you.

Can I book a shorter stay?

Yes! While our standard stay is 5 days / 4 nights (Monday to Friday), we’re happy to accommodate shorter visits—especially for those pairing this trip with other adventures like river rafting. Contact us for availability.

When is the ranch open?

Our season runs June 1 through September 30, with a few blackout dates:

- July 4–6

- July 24–27

- August 17–23

What if I have other questions?

We’re happy to chat! Reach out anytime via our contact page, email us at [email protected], or call (208) 756-7279.
